This Saturday, March 3 our team will be leaving for Houston, Texas. The goal of the trip is to share the gospel with Muslims in their communities. We will be going door to door in neighborhoods and reaching out to Muslims in their restaurants and stores. We are excited to see what God does through our interaction with these people who desperately need Jesus. We will be partnering with full time missionaries, Jon and Kris Shepherd.
While we are so excited, we also know the enemy does not like what we are going to do. Please join our team in advancing God’s kingdom by praying for us. This is my prayer for this last week of preparation:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for calling each of us to go to Houston and picking this team. Thank you that we can go in confidence that You are with us. I pray all the last minute details will come together. I also pray that we would be able to retain all that we are learning about the Quran and how to defend our faith. Please protect us from the evil one who seeks to destroy us. I pray for safety as we travel and that we would be able to share the gospel even on the plane. I command over us the beautiful truths that You have given us a Spirit of power, love, and self-discipline. I pray that we would be unified as a team and with the missionaries. Thank you for Your love for us and I pray we would be vessels of that love to all that we come in contact with. May our efforts be a sweet aroma to You. We love you!
