Madison 2017: First Days Recap

The Madison team has had some technical issues, but wanted to share that God is at work! Thank you for praying. Here is a short summary of the trip thus far. They will share a full recap on the blog when they return.

On Sunday they had beautiful weather for traveling. The Next Steps staff (the Missions Organization they’re working with) is great. The intro night offered plenty of time to hang out together as a team. They left the evening expecting God would do big things throughout the week.

On Monday, they split into two crews. One is working at a day camp helping children develop leadership skills. The other is working with an elementary summer school program in the mornings and doing service projects in the afternoon. The projects involve a community garden and a park. Relationships are being built as they serve and the students are enjoying the tasks they’ve been given.

Next Steps has put together an incredible evening program that includes worship and a video series. The videos have sparked powerful discussions about God and what He’s doing in their lives as individuals and as a group.

Prayer Requests:

  • Join our High School Ministry in praising God for the powerful work He’s done so far
  • Pray He continues to work in their hearts and the community in Madison
