2019, Tanzania, Short Term Missions:

Tanzania Team – Work Has Begun

Hello everyone! We wanted to give another update from Mwanza to say that we began our week-long program at the Mwanza Bible Institute today. Despite some initial scheduling snafus, the leaders agreed that it was a good first day overall. Here are a few pictures from the day:

The son of our interpreters was hospitalized yesterday with what the doctors believe is malaria. His father, Ezekiel, left this afternoon to visit him (a four-hour bus trip one way), while his mother Kezia stayed to interpret for the women’s conference. Please pray for their family and for the son’s recovery.

Thank you so much for all of your prayers for us so far. Our hope for the rest of the week is that God will continue to use our team’s efforts in building his church here in Mwanza and the surrounding areas. Please pray that the teaching would be clear and that those listening would grow in their knowledge of God’s ways and character. Pease also pray that the sewing, construction, and computer-related efforts would be productive and fruitful, and that all of our interactions would glorify God and draw us and our Tanzanian brothers and sisters in Christ closer together.

With love from Mwanza,

Tanzania team
