We are ending our Missions Movie Nights with an inspirational true story. Come to the Gathering Place this Friday, February 28 from 6:30-8:30pm to watch Breakthrough. It is a story of love, prayer, and the Lord working to draw a community together. You are invited to come and enjoy this last movie in our series. There will be popcorn, snacks and beverages. For admission, please bring one hygiene item to donate to Calvary Care. Calvary Care is using your donations to help stock their pantry shelves for the people around us experiencing a shortfall. If you forget to bring an item we still invite you to watch the movie, it’s more about helping people together than making sure you have a hygiene item with you.

Are you looking for something fun to do this Valentine’s Day? Parents, leave your kids at home with a babysitter and have a date night with your special someone. Ladies, gather a group of your closest girlfriends and celebrate together. Singles, just because you’re unattached does not mean you need to be alone this Valentine’s Day. You are all invited to a free movie night at Calvary. Popcorn and candy is on us! What movie are we showing? This Friday from 6:30pm-8:30pm we will be showing the movie, Mully. 2020 Short-Term Mission Trips

I used to think short-term mission trips were only for the “super-spiritual, bilingual, uber Christian” who had the entire Bible memorized. Then I was challenged to go to Kiev. With some skepticism, I asked God for everything to fall into place logistically before I would commit, and sure enough God orchestrated some amazing details! Despite this, I told God “I am not qualified,” God broke down that barrier and not only did I go to Kiev, but God awakened my heart to His love for the nations. That trip created a new awareness in me so now when I read, “People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God” (Luke 13:29) I find myself almost in tears rejoicing at what a great God we have who loves all His children.  In spite of your own…

Language Café

Calvary’s Language Café is a chance for you to meet some really interesting people! As disciples of Christ, we are called not just to reach out, but also to invite in and to continue to make Calvary a welcoming and hospitable place. The Language Café is a perfect opportunity for non-native English speakers to come to Calvary and find friendly people in the Gathering Place willing to help them practice their English-speaking skills. The relationships and the comfort with Calvary Church that Language Café participants experience helps them feel welcome attending our services or other activities we offer. Language Café volunteers get to know each participant as they see them week after week in this safe and welcoming environment. Participants can develop friendships that open deeper conversations around questions like “Who is Jesus?”, “Why does Calvary look like it does?” and “Why do Calvary people seem different?”  Do you know…
