COVID-19 Call for Art – Submissions Due
August 15 - August 31
The Calvary Church Art Committee announces a call for artists in our congregation to submit a work of art in response to the statement “What God taught me through COVID-19.” Artists of all levels from emerging to established, 14 years and older, are encouraged to submit up to three entries in digital form. Submissions will be juried by the committee and the digital images will be included in an online exhibition from September 14 to October 12. These images may be printed and included in an exhibition at the church in the future.
- There are no restrictions on medium or context. Artists may submit images of painting, drawing, fiber art, sculpture, photography, printmaking, digital art, assemblage, and/or mixed media.
- Each artist may submit up to three works of art, but a maximum of one per artist will be selected for inclusion in the exhibition. Submissions must be jpegs, and a minimum size of 8” x 10” at 300dpi.
- Each artist should also include a title, medium, date, and size for each submission, as well as an artist statement or verse of 100 words or less.
The Art Committee will accept submissions from August 15-31. Please email a photo of your submission to email@example.com and include Art Submission in the subject line.
