Global Outreach Weekend

During Global Outreach Weekend, we will have the opportunity to see the world as God sees it, to experience the beauty of His diverse creation, and most importantly, to learn how we can participate in taking the gospel to all people. There are a variety of opportunities available to engage with. Pray and ask God to use these opportunities to show you what role He has for you in making Christ known to all people.
  • Global Adventures Fair – Saturday, March 1 from 10:30am-2:30pm
  • Understanding Your Role in Missions: Making the Most of the Global Adventures Fair by Dr. Todd Ahrend – Saturday, March 1 from 10:30-11:30am in Room 252
  • Sunday Worship Services – Sunday, March 2 at 9:00 & 10:45am
  • Journey Adult Sunday Class | What does it mean to be a Global Christian? by Dr. Todd Ahrend
  • Sending Gen Z by Dr. Todd Ahrend – Sunday, March 2 at 6:30pm

 

During this weekend you will have several opportunities to hear from Dr. Todd Ahrend. He is the founder and international Director of The Traveling Team, a national missions mobilization movement.  He and his wife, Jessica, have spent almost two decades traveling both nation-wide and abroad, speaking to thousands of people about involvement in world evangelization. Todd has exposure in over sixty countries and has lived in the Middle East.

Dr. Todd Ahrend graduated from Northeastern State University, has a Masters from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Doctorate from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

He is the author of The Abrahamic Revolution and In This Generation. Todd and Jessica have six children.

 

Our speaker for Sunday morning, March 2 is Artie M. Lindsay Sr. Artie is the Pastor of Spiritual Formation at Tabernacle Community Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan as well as serving as the Flourishing Faith Communities Director with the Urban Church Leadership Center.

He earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Michigan before following God’s call into pastoral ministry. He moved from his hometown of Detroit to Grand Rapids in the fall of 1995 to complete a Masters of Theological Studies at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary.

 Pastor Artie is married to Raquel, and they have three children. He has a passion for supporting pastors and church leaders, investing in current and future leaders, and a commitment to seeing all people in our city flourish.
