Hello all – As I write this post, we have settled in at Camp Ta-Pa-Win-Go. We started off yesterday at 9am at Calvary and had a warm send off. Travels went well and we made it to Cincinnati, OH by late afternoon. We enjoyed the hotel pool and then went to dinner. Despite rainy weather, the travels were uneventful.
This morning, we visited First Church of Christ in Florence, KY. Their service was about praying unceasingly, which was a helpful message that God is always present. We were reminded that we can pray to Him and listen for Him whenever and wherever we are. After the service a group of people prayed with us for our remaining journey and the week ahead.
We drove the rest of the drive Sunday afternoon. Traveling Sunday was slower due to winding (but beautiful) roads. We arrived at Camp Ta-Pa-Win-Go in the evening and got settled in to our lodge. We were pleasantly surprised to learn the lodge has a game room in the basement where the kids can play! They blew off some steam while parents got rooms set up.
We ended the night with group worship and prayer. We are excited and ready for our assignments tomorrow!
Prayer requests:
- Health – We’ve had a few kids not feel great at times. Please pray they have health and stamina.
- Weather – We have several outside projects that would be much easier to do if the rain will stop. The forecast tomorrow does show chances of rain, but we pray it holds off.
