France 2017: Home Church

By Wanda Taylor

How Great Thou Art! Four powerful words to describe Team France’s day! After arriving in Grenoble yesterday receiving the hospitality of Roy and Jen and seeing the sights of Grenoble, we woke refreshed and ready to experience God in a “Home” worship setting. This was so powerful and moving in that we worshiped and praised God in Arabic, French and English! Our hosts were converted Muslims and what a love they have for Jesus Christ! Their stories of conversion and what they experienced in their journey to faith (Threats, loss of family, etc.) brought the reality of persecution before our very eyes. Yet, we saw in them the joy, peace and gratitude to God for saving them.

Where do you experience a family moving their kitchen table and chairs and living room furniture out in to their yard in order to set up chairs for a worship service? Not only that but to then host a feast for all of the worshipers? The body of Christ coming together—Beautiful!

Pray for Team France as we go out and share the Gospel. Pray for us as we get familiar with saying “I trust you Jesus” in response to whatever happens throughout our time in France as many things can change on a moments notice.

Psalm 139:7-10 Where can I go from your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
