2019, Glyfada, Short Term Missions:

Glyfada- Friday Update

Today was our last day in Glyfada, and boy was it hard to leave the people that have so warmly embraced us!

At VBS the kids heard from Katie about how God has given her the gift of hospitality, and then heard the story of Lydia and how she was hospitable to Paul. Then the kids decorated cookies and put on a talent show. We saw many amazing talents, including piano playing, magic tricks, stand up comedy, and even making scary faces! It was a blast to see all of the children share the gifts that God has given them with us!

At Bluprint our team continued to have wonderful spiritual conversations, and build relationships with those who are not believers. Jim met again with the young man from Bluprint, and was able to have another great discussion. Beka also met with the young lady that she has been pouring into this week and is glad to be able to continue growing that friendship. Tammy was led to share the gospel with a woman on the boardwalk yesterday, and this woman accepted Christ!

After we wrapped up in our ministries, we made our way to Mati for a day of debrief. Mati is a coastal city that was recently afflicted by wildfires. We are enjoying our beautiful views of the water, but can see that there is work to be done for the people here as well. Please pray that we would see opportunities to serve the people here, and hear from God in big ways about our time here as we prayerfully reflect on our time spent in Glyfada.
