2018, Houston, Short Term Missions:

Houston 2018 – An Encouraging Day!

Yesterday was another incredible day.

We spent most of our time in the same apartment complex as the day before. We were able to get a lot of practice sharing the gospel.

Highlights:

– We were able to share the gospel with a little help from google translate to H*, a muslim woman. She seemed very engaged and understood what we were saying.

– We sat with a lady for half an hour. She spoke no English, but just enjoyed us staying with her.

– Some of us engaged a Muslim man and his wife who memorized everything about Islam, but did not seem to believed it. He asked many questions about christianity and we were able to share the gospel as well as a few answers to some of his objections. We stayed nearly two hours in this house and our whole team might be going back for a meal sometime soon. Please pray for their eyes to be open and for them to see Jesus.

– We were able to meet and encourage a christian family from Burma through prayer.

– We met a Catholic teenager who shared what religion meant to her and then we shared the good news with her. We gave her the gospel of John we and are praying she reads it.

– There was a lady from Sudan whose name was I*. She just had surgery on her foot. We were able to pray for her. She, including her two kids, were very engaged while we shared the gospel!

– Grace’s medicine is kicking in and she was able to spend the afternoon sharing with us.

God has been so faithful. He has been encouraging us through all these interactions with people as well as through His word. We are so thankful!
