MADISON 2018: THURSDAY AND FRIDAY UPDATE

Good morning! Our Madison team returns home today! Please be in prayer for safe travels, good conversations along the way, and most importantly, for the Spirit to give our students continued eagerness to build upon the lessons and experiences of this trip as they apply what they learned in Madison back home in Grand Rapids.

See below for Matt’s recap of Thursday and some insight into how students spent their time on Friday…

Thursday

Today was great! Crews were separated in the morning and joined together in the afternoon. Crew 1 worked at a homeless shelter cleaned and organizing the food pantry there. Crew 2 helped organize clothes at a thrift store and painting prep at the church we are staying at. When the groups combined we worked on a garden, cleaned a kitchen, and helped with admin work. At night we had an amazing time of fellowship with each other. We thank you for your continued prayer during this trip!

Friday

Next Step Ministries encourages teams to build a “fun day” into their schedule at the end of the week so that, after serving Christ and others diligently from Monday through Thursday, students are able to cap off their trip together by experiencing more of the culture and charm of the city in which they have served. Once our team was up and done with breakfast on Friday, they hit the road to enjoy one last day of team bonding in Madison, Wisconsin.

Thank you for your prayers for the 2018 Madison team throughout the week! Your faithfulness to bring students before the throne of God has been an invaluable part of what God has been up to this week.
