2018, France, Short Term Missions:

Monday: A Refreshing Day

Today was a refreshing time. We enjoyed a prayer walk and photo scavenger hunt. The kids and adults looked for things that made God happy, made him sad, and reminded us of scripture. The kids had good insight into God’s compassion for lonely people and his love for children.

Gwen and Mason were welcomed to Abby and John’s school. They showed photos and presented what life is like as American students. Aaron gave a fun geography lesson to Abby’s class to explain more about our unique country. We enjoyed a peek into Abby and John’s school day.

It was good to have time to fellowship with the Gaylord family. We played games and enjoyed a traditional French meal, melting raclette cheese and scraping it onto freshly baked baguettes and potatoes. They’ve had much to teach us about relating to a new culture and their journey into the mission field. Their dedication to the church here and effectively bearing the gospel to this community is an encouragement to us as we consider our own call to shine Jesus’ light wherever we go.
