Welcome to Calvary Church! We’re glad that you are planning to join us. Here are the answers to a few typical first-time guest questions:
9:00 & 10:45am | Sanctuary
Both services are identical.
We encourage families to attend the worship service together. Lil’ S.S. Adventure is available for children birth through young fives. Use Entrance A from the parking lot and take the grand staircase off the Crosswalk to the Calvary Kids Check-In Area.
S.S. Adventure is available for children in kindergarten through fourth grade.
Classroom check-in begins 15 minutes prior to the start of the service and ends 15 minutes after it starts.
Note: Room 135 is available for those who need a quiet place to nurse. The room is equipped with chairs and a diaper changing station. There is also a parent room located near room 136 where the service can be viewed with your child. Note that in our newborn classrooms the ratio of volunteers to children is two to one; someone is usually holding your baby the entire service.
On Sunday mornings (September – May), 5th-8th grade students meet during the 10:45am service (except on Family Service Sundays). 5th-6th grade students meet in room 132. 7th-8th grade students meet in room 208. High School Ministry (UNITED) meets on Sunday evenings in room 208. We encourage students to serve if they are at church for both worship services.
In the service, we gather to hear God speak from His Word (the Bible), and to declare we believe Jesus Christ is Lord in worship. During times of singing, you might see a choir, organ, orchestra, band or a mixture of all of these. Services are usually 75 minutes long. To get a feel for our teaching style, check out the current series.
Parking attendants will direct you to the closest available spot. Drop-off areas are located at both Main Entrances (A & B). Guides will be available to assist you into church and wait with you while your loved one parks. A drop-off canopy at Entrance C provides additional protection from the elements.
If you need anything throughout the day — mints, earplugs, a Bible, or a pen — feel free to stop by the Welcome Center. Or, just ask anyone with a Calvary lanyard or name tag. We’re friendly folks, and we’d love to serve you.
If you feel a little puzzled, come straight to the Welcome Center, located in the center of the Crosswalk just inside the Main Entrances (A & B). Look for the yellow welcome flags. We would love to meet you! Our Guides will help get you settled for the morning and answer any questions you have about Calvary.
