Grace Beyond is a journey the Calvary Church body has embarked on with God over the past nearly five years. A journey of remodeling our building and reshaping our church. Throughout this season we have grown in the practice of giving above and beyond our regular tithes and offerings. As that journey draws to a close, we want to make you aware of four opportunities to continue giving these kinds of gifts at Calvary.
Benevolence: These monies go to assist those experiencing a time of need. This fund is open all year, but we emphasize the Benevolence Ministry during our communion services.
Jonathan Fund: The Jonathan fund is designed to encourage people at Calvary, especially those who are enduring suffering. We will emphasize this fund during the Lenten season in connection with Jesus’ own suffering, though it is open year-round.
Celebrate Missionaries: These monies are designed to bless those who are engaged in cross-cultural proclamation of the gospel. You can give to this fund all year. We will emphasize giving to this at Pentecost, tying the coming of the Spirit to the command to be Christ’s witness in all the world.
Jerusalem Project: This project advances Christ’s church through planting new churches, strengthening established churches and training church leaders. It is open all year, but we emphasize giving to this fund at year-end.
There are three ways to give toward these funds:
Online at mycalvarygr.org. Calvary Church accepts online donations through checking or savings accounts, as well as debit and credit cards.
Text the amount you would like to give and the fund name to 616-294-0700. The fund name keywords are: Benevolent, Jonathan, Missionaries, and Jerusalem.
In Person or By Mail Designate an offering to the Jerusalem Project. Envelopes are available in the rack next to your seat. Place your money inside and place the envelope in the offering plate during the service. You can also mail your gift to: PO Box 1600, Grand Rapids MI 49501.
Thank you for your faithful giving to the ministry of Calvary Church. If you have any questions about designated giving, contact Sue Schroeder at ext. 5143.
