You cannot separate grace from Jesus. It is a free gift from him that Paul defines earlier in the chapter in two ways. First, saving grace is offered by Jesus through His incarnation. Second, we experience ongoing sustaining grace in our lives through His continual pardon, peace, provision, protection, promises, power, presence and providence. God’s grace is sufficient; there is nothing that we need to do. The ball is never in our court.
