2017, Spain, Short Term Missions:

Spain 2017: Day Five

We start each day with devotions and prayers as a team. Today Lenski shared with us the importance of praying not only at scheduled times but throughout the day. Deuteronomy 6:4-9. Then we headed out to the church. Today it is a bit cooler here in Lugones.

The English lesson today is based on the parable of the  Sower and the Seed. We adapted it slightly and taught the students the importance of making time to listen to the word of God each day and being receptive to it.

Our team was invited by Jaime’s friends to eat at a restaurant in an athletic club near their home. It was delicious and a great time to fellowship with the other missionary families who are here helping us with the English camp.

After lunch we headed back to church to prepare for the adult class. We practiced the skit, prepared the crafts, bought more supplies, planned the mixer games, etc.  Jaime picks up some of our students for class. A couple of us rode with him today to pick up a mother and  daughter in a  nearby town. As soon as they got into the car they started reviewing their flashcards from yesterday! We were impressed.  Tonight there were 18 adults! We are thankful for each one of them. They are eager to learn.

Thank you you for your support! We do feel it, and we are so excited to see how God continues to work in and through us this week.
