Here’s a few notes from students experiences so far!
The drive here was longer but I think that it made the group closer together. On the way down we stayed at a hotel and we got to watch The Lion King at the theater. Once we got here we got to meet some senior citizens at a place called high rise on Monday. We also made them goodie bags. So far this trip has been very fun and exciting. I hope that we will change many lives on this trip.

The first day of the West Virginia trip was not exactly as we planned. Lots of our projects that were planned for the day got rained out. Because of the rain we had a lot more down time inside. During this time we played a name game to get to know the group better. This game exposed our surprising lack of knowledge of these people who we were serving with. Throughout the day I found myself bummed about the rain and the time we had to spend inside but I can clearly see how God planned that time for us to get to know each other. The staff moved up some plans for later in the week for Monday because of this. Throughout God knew what we needed when we totally did not. Looking back at the time I don’t feel disappointed but overwhelmed by the way God shows up and just how well he takes care of our needs. God taught me an important lesson on how he always knows best and sometimes we just need to say, “God I trust you.”

This trip has really brought me out of my comfort zone. I have enjoyed praying over people and being able to light up their day. I have gotten to know a lot more people and have made new friends in Christ. I have enjoyed all the teachings by Don and look forward to learn more. I love working for Jesus and am ready for more.

This trip has been lots of fun. I have got to know other people better. I think that this trip has been pretty beneficial so far for both me and the people of Keyser. Quiet times have been one of my favorite activities.
