When Jesus became flesh, He did so for our sake, not His own. In the same way the outward, physical parts of worship are not for God, but for us. The only value in the physical aspects of worship (kneeling, music, architecture, giving, etc.) is how they lead to a worshipful spirit. The most important physical act of worship is communion, which is based on the theology of John 6.
