Content
In this sermon we see that suffering can be viewed from two perspectives. The primary example of this is the crucifixion of Jesus. This act can be seen as both him being put to death by religious leaders in Israel and part of the plan of God for thousands of years, as we see through the Old Testament narrative. In the same way, our sufferings are both the result of human choice and part of the plan of God. Because our sufferings are part of the plan of God, God has already written down what he has to say to us in the midst of suffering. In these times we are encouraged to find hope in the Psalms, just as the early church did.
