A common question that both Christians and non-Christians frequently ask is “why are some writings God’s word and others are not?” Or “how did these specific writings become the Bible?” We all have access to a copy of the people but few know the history of how these words came to be known as the word of God or why we can be confident that this is in fact the case. There are stories throughout history that demonstrate how reliable scripture is and evidence the hand of God in preserving His word. Through this passage we are reminded that the Bible can be trusted.
