God is producing the drama of history. Everything from creation, fall, the choice of Abraham, the old covenant, the coming of Christ, the time in which we now live and the soon return of Jesus are part of God’s sovereign plan for our world. This plan is being worked out first in Jesus Christ and then in us as we obey Jesus. To this end, God has given us his Holy Spirit, This is the Spirit of truth who lives within us as Christians, guiding and enabling us to obey. Contrary to what we might assume when we think of Jesus ascending to heaven, we have not been left as orphans. God is present with us through the Holy Spirit leading and guiding us for His glory.
