Our Lesvos team is feeling so blessed by the support from our church family as we prepare to go to Greece today. Thank you to everyone who is participating through prayer, financial support and in-kind donations. Your kindness will be a blessing to the people in Lesvos.
As of this writing, we are making final preparations before traveling to Greece. We are excited, nervous (but mostly excited!) and eager to begin serving at the All4Aid Center. We know that God is leading, and we ask for your prayers over the details as we go – for on-time flights, smooth sailing through customs, luggage to arrive at the right place at the right time, and as we adjust to the time change.
Speaking of luggage, we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our church family and are bringing extra suitcases filled with 1,000 sewing kits, 600+ beauty product samples, hairbrushes and face masks, and more than 700 pairs of new underwear and bras for the women in Lesvos. The women arriving on the island often come with only the clothes they are wearing, and these necessities will be available for women to receive at All4Aid’s Center.
We travel this weekend and will be visiting various parts of the island this weekend. Starting Monday, we anticipate serving at the center every weekday, spending our evenings visiting locals and preparing for the next day’s activities. We anticipate a very action-packed week, and we are looking forward to every minute of it! Be sure to follow along on the blog – we will try and post daily throughout the week!
