When Paul and Silas were freed from jail by an earthquake, their jailer assumed that the world would have no mercy on him and he was desperate. But when he saw Paul and Silas he realized that they were not like him. They were joyful in suffering. They were at peace. His question, “What must I do to be saved?” is a cry for help that we all can echo because no matter what it is we are facing, Jesus can help.
