Closing Doors to Satan

There is evil in this world. There are spiritual forces of darkness at work right here in our community. The solution to this evil is the Lordship of Jesus Christ. To help us fight this force we need to accept Christ by faith and be living in obedience to His Lordship. We also need to be sure that we have given every area of our life over to Him, and confess any of those areas in which Jesus has not been Lord in our lives. Finally, there is one act that is especially important in this fight – the act of baptism. In baptism we publicly declare our allegiance to Christ and renounce our sinful desires. This brings with it a level of authority and power and protection that helps us deal with temptation from the evil one.
