From the example of Paul, we can learn a couple of things about our dual citizenship. First, there is no contradiction between being a citizen of Rome (or America or any country) and a Christian. Paul did not renounce his citizenship, but in fact took advantage of it a few times in order to further the ministry of the gospel. On the other hand, Paul’s heavenly citizenship was primary. Most people never even knew he was a Roman citizen because his conversation and life were full of the gospel.
