To want good for those who have hurt you, even when they will not acknowledge that they have hurt you, is the most Christ-like thing any human can ever do. We forgive those who do not want to be forgiven by looking to Jesus. It is then that we see Christ who died for us while we were still sinners. Because we have been given that which we did not deserve we are able to give mercy to others when they do not deserve it.
