God the Father sets a pattern for earthly fathers. God as Father is God as our rescuer, redeemer and reconciler. The world seeks to enslave our children. As an earthly father we are to seek out good for our children taking the time of the world away for the sacrifice of our own time, money and whatever other sacrifices need be to better represent the Father to our Children.
