The worse the situation, and the larger the rescue, the more we put our faith and trust in the person who rescues us. For Israel, their very darkest moment was facing the Red Sea, when it seemed that they were going to be slaughtered by the pursuing Egyptians. But Moses told them “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today.” God saved Israel in their darkest moment, and as a result Israel put their trust in God. They learned that God is faithful to fulfill His promises. They learned that He is strong and that He can be trusted.
