The book of Proverbs outlines several wise and foolish behaviors with regard to money. Several wise behaviors lead to wealth (working, saving, planning, and giving). Several foolish behaviors lead to poverty (greed, haste, laziness, wrong associations, extravagance). These are not promises, but Proverbs. The wisdom of Proverbs points not to wealth but to contentment.
