Oasis (Older Adults) May Luncheon
Calvary Church 707 E Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI, United StatesDr. Sokreaksa Himm, the author of three books will be here to share his story of when at the age 14, witnessed 13 of his family members ruthlessly murdered by Khmer Rouge soldiers, while miraculously surviving, in what is now called the Killing Fields of Cambodia. From out of this horrific experience and a heart full of anger and revenge, Sokreaksa came to learn of God’s transforming power of forgiveness and how it brought healing and wholeness to his life. Men: Senior Golf League
Bolder Creek Golf Club 5750 Brewer Ave NE, Belmont,Come join a group of Calvary Church seniors every Tuesday morning at Boulder Creek Golf Club for some good Christian fellowship and exercise. This isn’t a formal golf league and it’s open to golfers of all skill levels. You don’t have to play every week so just show up when you’re able to play. Each week, we have a draw to determine foursomes for the week so it’s a great way to meet new people. The draw is at 8:45am and the first tee time is at 9:00am. Tuesday Kids

While mom is in Bible Study, Tuesday Kids is a wonderful place for children birth to six years of age to learn God’s truth in a loving atmosphere. Teachers and helpers use Bible stories, music and fun activities to reinforce the weekly lesson. Register for Tuesday Kids by emailing Donna - women@calvarygr.org. Tuesday Women’s Bible Study
Calvary Church 707 E Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI, United StatesTuesday Women’s Bible Study will be Genesis: In the Beginning God. We’ll cover Genesis 1-24 this fall and Genesis 25-50 in the winter/spring. Warren Wiersbe wrote, “The Book of Genesis is the ‘book of basics’ because it’s the ‘book of beginnings’ in the Bible. To know Genesis is to know the fundamental truths – the basics – about God, the world, yourself and other people, law, sin, salvation, faith, and spiritual fulfillment.” Bible study starts September 21, but you can join us anytime throughout the year. You will be placed in a small group where you will actively discuss the Bible study together. After small group, we come together as a large group in the Gathering Place for teaching and testimonies.
