Forgive Compassionately

Continuing in the Ten Commandments of Community mini-series, we examine the command to “Forgive Compassionately.” If you’ve ever been in a community where a group member continually gets on your nerves, you know what it’s like to experience anger that moves into bitterness over time. God is similarly angered by our sin, yet in his mercy he has forgiven and removed our sin as far as the east is from the west. With this in mind, we are called to have mercy on those who anger us, treating them with the compassion we ourselves have received.
