The lampstand in the Tabernacle was lit every day from evening to morning. It represented God’s illuminating presence always available to guide and direct Israel. The lampstand also represented the fact that God is best able to illuminate our paths because he is the source of the brightest light and the only source of complete truth. Jesus and his Word provide for us the illumination needed to direct our paths and lead us into all truth today.
