Forgiveness, Prayer
Prayer is what enables us to keep making progress on our journey of faith. This passage gives us three truths about prayer:
1) God’s throne, is a throne of grace. When we come there, we receive mercy and grace to help us in our time of need. He is ready to forgive our sin and give us blessings beyond what we can imagine.
2) God hears us when we pray like Jesus prayed — from the heart and in submission to God.
3) Seated at the throne of grace is Jesus, our empathetic high priest. He knows what it is like to go through every emotion that we experience. We can approach the throne of grace confidently, because Jesus is there.
