Grace
The New Covenant that Jesus has mediated for us offers us three things: understanding of the truth, a relationship with God and complete forgiveness of sins. It also offers us these things in a unilateral way. Unlike the Mosaic covenant, which had stipulations and requirements for both God and man, the new covenant requires nothing of us. It is God’s offer of grace (through Jesus) that we simply believe and accept.
