In the Bible, names were meant to communicate something about a person. By God’s grace He decided to share His personal name with us and it communicates truths about who He is. By His name we learn that He is eternal, all-sufficient, that He is with us, and whoever we need Him to be when we need it. This personal God has not only given us His name, but His person through Jesus Christ. That name of our God is Jesus.
