2019, Glyfada, Short Term Missions:

Glyfada- We Made It!

YASSAS from Greece!!

First full day under our belts! (Apologies for not posting sooner, internet is a bit spotty!) Our team had an amazing time today with unexpected schedules and visits along with the planned events like helping at church. The day started with Jim giving the sermon at church and Sean playing guitar for worship and some of the ladies helping in the children’s ministry. It was such an incredible time to meet the church family with whom we are growing closer and partnering. What a sweet time to fellowship with brothers and sisters all the way around the globe.

After church, we were able to grab lunch with Pastor George and his family, and head into Athens for some sightseeing. We worked off lunch by making our way to the Acropolis and Mars Hill, and did some shopping in La Plaka. Our afternoon was such a fun adventure with beautiful views of the city!

Tomorrow we will begin preparations for Vacation Bible School, tour a Greek Orthodox Church, and attend a Culture Night event with the refugee ministry. Please pray for rest after a long day, faith in the face of spiritual warfare, and trust in the Lord’s plans as details work themselves out.

Unfortunately, we cannot upload any photos on the wifi at the house, but pictures will be coming!!
