So far this trip it has been an adventure from doing awesome worship to watching an elderly man smile for the first time in a long time just for doing a simple little thing. The YWAM group has been so kind and accepting to everyone which is just awesome to be able to go out of state and have people that treat you like a friend that has known you for years.

This mission trip has taught me more about serving for others, like when we went to the high rise to serve the elderly who normally are abandoned by their family. They were very happy to talk and wanted us to hang around longer.

Everyone here at YWAM is so kind and accepting of everyone no matter who they are. They have just helped our group be able to come closer to others and deepen our relationships through their organization. This mission trip has not only been to help serve the community but to have a deeper relationship with God which is something new. The missions trips that I have been on talk about how we are more fortunate than the people so we should try to help them through their hard times but this one is also helping us through ours. It’s a whole new kind of mission that I am eager to learn more about.

It’s been such an amazing experience to be able to help other people just for the sake of God’s glory. The amazing part though is that feeling of happiness to see people be positively affected by us and our simple gifts to Keyser, West Virginia. While it has been so amazing to help, it has also been just as amazing to be ministered to by the YWAM staff through their teachings about things that seem simple yet I have never heard them taught like this before. This mission trip will forever change us, our relationships with the Lord and each other, and the way we view and love our neighbors here in West Virginia and the rest of the world. I hope that through us this community will be closer to God.

This experience has been beyond amazing! I’ve had the opportunity to help others and make the people of West Virginia happy. This missions trip has been a great opportunity for me to get to know new people. I’ve already made tons of new friends! My relationship with God only gets stronger. I’m thankful for God’s direction or I wouldn’t have been here.
